What does HUD’s FY2027 Fair Market Rent say about Charlotte Hall?

Charlotte Hall’s ZIP, 20622, appears in two HUD FY2027 tables. One is the Washington-area Small Area FMR. The other is the St. Mary’s County FMR. HUD’s FY2027 Fair Market Rent is a federal benchmark used for voucher programs. It is not a prediction of what a specific home will rent for.

Which county rules apply in Charlotte Hall?

It depends on which side of the county line the home sits. The Maryland People’s Law Library lists no rental license for either St. Mary’s County or Charles County, in a table updated September 22, 2026. Charles County has a countywide program proposed to begin July 1, 2027, and the county says its dates remain subject to final adoption. The St. Mary’s County pages we checked list no such proposal. Gilbert Run Park, at 13140 Charles St, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, is a Charles County park. The county’s facility directory describes a 60 acre fresh water lake that allows fishing, pedal boating, row boating and canoeing. It also lists a boat ramp, pavilion, picnic tables, playground, restroom, volleyball court and a trail.

Which buses serve Charlotte Hall?

Charlotte Hall is where bus systems meet. Charlotte Hall Square is one of the three STS transfer points in St. Mary’s County. The county page carries a notice that riders should expect delays on the Charlotte Hall service line until further notice.

How far is Charlotte Hall from our offices?

Using the Census Bureau’s 2024 place points, Charlotte Hall is about 12 miles in a straight line from Waldorf and about 24 miles from Lexington Park. These are straight-line figures, not drive times.
