Which homes are for rent right now?
The listings below come from RentEngine and update as homes lease. Enter a price range, bedrooms or bathrooms, then click a home to open its page and apply online.
We manage hundreds of rental homes but proudly maintain a low vacancy rate. If you don’t find something that fits your needs, contact us online or call our office at 301-392-2172 and we will do our best to assist you.
Real Property Management Gold does not advertise rentals on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. The owner of the home will never contact you directly or place an ad there. If you see one of these homes on those sites, it is likely a scam. Never give an application, personal information or money to anyone except through Real Property Management Gold at this website.
How do I apply and what are the basic terms?
Applications are on each listing’s page. The table shows the published terms.
| Term | What is published |
|---|---|
| How to apply | Online, on the individual listing’s page |
| Application turnaround | 24 to 72 business hours |
| Utilities | None included unless the listing says so |
| Lease length | 1 to 3 years accepted |
| Pets | Allowed case by case, $50 per month for each approved pet, no pet deposit |
| Smoking and vaping | Not permitted in or on the property |
| Application fee | $65 per applicant (18 or older) |
See all fees on the tenant fee disclosure.
What does the application fee cover?
The $65 fee per applicant covers a credit check, rental history verification, a criminal background check, Plaid ID verification, bank account verification, AI document verification and employment verification through The Work Number. The criminal check is subject to an individualized assessment under HUD guidelines.
Maryland limits what a landlord can keep from an application fee over $25. The fee must reflect the actual cost of screening. The tenant fee disclosure itemizes the costs.

What are the income and credit requirements?
Applicants need gross income of at least 3 times the monthly rent before taxes. A minimum credit score is shown in the listing and applies to every financially responsible applicant.
Other income, including rental assistance and housing vouchers, is considered in line with fair housing laws.
How does the background check work?
A criminal background check runs on every applicant, followed by an individualized assessment. It considers the nature and severity of the offense, the time since the conviction and any rehabilitation. Records that do not pose a direct threat to the safety or property of others are not an automatic basis for denial.
Are housing vouchers accepted?
Yes. Housing vouchers and other rental assistance programs are welcome. Maryland law treats a voucher as a lawful source of income, and an application is not denied only because of a voucher. See housing choice voucher.
Include a signed Request for Tenancy Approval (HUD-52517) from your caseworker, plus the caseworker’s contact details. The authorized voucher amount must equal or exceed the rent to meet HUD rules.
What are the security deposit options?
A deposit is required. Choose one of two options.
- Cash deposit. A refundable deposit equal to one month’s rent.
- Obligo. A deposit alternative available only with the optional Resident Benefits Package. After lease approval you get an Obligo policy link. Policies typically range from $30 to $100 per month, depending on your qualifications.
If you do not enroll in the Resident Benefits Package, you pay a traditional deposit. See security deposit for how Maryland caps it.
What is due at move-in?
One full month’s rent is due at lease signing. If the first month is partial, the prorated amount is due with the second month’s rent.
The lease is not secured until the lease is signed, the first month’s rent is paid, and either a cash deposit is paid or an Obligo policy is bought if you are eligible. After that, failing to move in is a breach of the lease, and you may be held financially responsible for lease obligations.
What does the Residence Benefits Package include?
It is optional, $49 per month. This page lists: Obligo eligibility, positive rent payment reporting to all three major credit agencies, credit monitoring and financial tools, an exclusive RPM App with rewards, discounts, and perks, a 24/7 maintenance request portal, online rent payments, and a welcome gift and additional resident services. The full description is on the Resident Benefits Package page.

Which reports are not accepted?
Reusable tenant screening reports are not accepted. No RentSpree applications will be accepted. Applicants must use Real Property Management Gold’s application and screening services.
