What is the Resident Benefits Package?
It is an optional package from Real Property Management Gold for $49 per month. It is open to all tenants who choose to enroll. Residents who opt in receive the services below.

How does the renters insurance work?
You can buy instant discounted renters insurance through AppFolio’s FolioGuard Renters Insurance program in the AppFolio online portal. It covers your belongings and can satisfy a lease requirement.

How does the Obligo deposit alternative work?
Obligo lets qualified residents replace a traditional security deposit with a low-cost policy. That keeps more cash free at move-in. If you do not qualify, or you choose not to use it, a security deposit may be due.

How do Pinata rewards and credit building work?
Pinata is a rental membership program that rewards you for renting. The package says on-time rent payments can raise a credit score by 30 to 60 points on average.
Every on-time payment earns Pinata Points. Points can be redeemed for gift cards to retailers such as Amazon, CVS, Target, Starbucks and Best Buy, for home essentials such as wine glasses, exercise equipment and pet toys, and for raffle prizes such as flat-screen TVs, Dyson vacuums, Apple Watches and Le Creuset cookware.

How does the emergency maintenance hotline work?
Package members get the 24/7 emergency maintenance hotline for urgent problems. Urgent requests are handled within a set timeframe, and a 24 hour emergency number is given to all members. Every resident can also call 301-255-6445 or file a request through the tenant resources page.
What does the package cost and how do I opt out?
The fee is $49 per month and is not refundable. It is optional. To decline, submit an opt-out form within 3 business days of lease signing. See the tenant fee disclosure.
Residents in the package pay no extra fee for ACH or e-check payments. Others pay the AppFolio processing fees on the disclosure.
