Days on market
Days on market is the number of days a rental listing is advertised before a lease is signed, and it shows how fast a home rents.
Days on market counts the days from the day a rental is listed until a lease is signed. A low number means the price, photos and condition matched what renters wanted. A high number is a warning that something needs to change, often the price.
For an owner, each extra day is lost rent. If your rent is $2,000 a month, about $66 a day sits empty. That is an illustration, not a prediction. Track the number, because it shows whether your rent and condition fit the market. It feeds directly into your vacancy rate.
Real Property Management Gold backs speed with a promise: "If we don't rent your property in 29 days or less, you do not pay a management fee for the first month." The 29-day promise is included in the Gold and Platinum plans. A good rent-ready home and a rent based on market rent are the best ways to shorten the wait. Learn how we price in a free rent check.
